Straight from Madrid, Watch TV is back at it with more funky downtempo. Here´s another vinyl sampler, with more tracks from the Watch TV CD, released in April 2003, to be released in April. The first 12" got support by DJs such as John Peel, Mr Scruff, DJ Morpheus, Rainer Truby, Nickodemus, and Chris Coco.

For those of you who have heard The After School Special Volume 1, the idea remains the same, Watch TV at the controls and doing ALL of the programming, and some of Spain´s hottest underground Djs bringing the style and the samples to create that After School Sound.

We start things off with Watch TV´s remix of "Lose and Win" by Norway´s Beady Belle from Jazzland Records. Watch TV transforms this vocal gem into a soulful dancefloor tool, with rootsy percussion and punchy beats. This remix has been slammed and charted by classy DJs like Rainer Truby, Alex Dallas, Quantic, Funky Lowlifes, and more.

"Another Dark Alley Scenario" is a dark jazz ode to all you city dwellers out there, featuring the spoken word poetry of Joshua Baumgarten. A native of New York, Joshua currently lives in Holland, writing and reciting as well as causing havoc wherever possible. His deep voice adds a unique ambience to this unique track. Make sure to catch the video of this song as a CD-Extra track on the upcoming CD.

Side B features a new track by Mondomo, who has been turning out catchy songs with Watch TV for several years. "How Many Times?" is an elegant midtempo piece, with spacey keyboards by Kike Cormensana-accompanied by beautiful flute riffs courtesy of Axel Krygier. Another new track by Mondomo, "Penso Ascoltando" was selected by Nicola Conte for "Break and Bossa 5" on Schema Records and is featured on the full length CD.

This 12" closes up with "Driftwood" - a headnodder´s fantasy. Mysterious soundscapes and electrix mix it up over a tight beat. Listen to the way it builds into a bassline monster by the second half, and then fades away in an exotic melody.
